Loyola Marymount University Historical Collection
About the Collection
The Loyola Marymount University Historical Collection features a selection of photographs that document students, faculty, administrators, visitors, buildings, and the landscape of the campus as it has grown over the last one hundred years. Part of a larger University Archives collection, the images were identified by the campus community and curators and by Dr. Kevin Starr who selected a large number of them for his book entitled Loyola Marymount University, 1911-2011: A Centennial History.
To preserve the shared memory of generations past, present, and future, the University Archives collects and cares for the documentary record of LMU, and its predecessors, St. Vincent’s College, Los Angeles College, Loyola College, Marymount College, and Loyola University.
