- Note
- Founded by Fr. William McIntosh, S.J. shortly after World War II, the Center for Industrial Relations was designed for professional labor relations in the flourishing Los Angeles aviation industry of the early jet age. In 1948 an Air Force ROTC squadron was formed. In the second half of the twentieth century LMU became a premier feeder engineering school to the major local aerospace industry.
