- Reverend Thomas P. O'Malley, S.J., was the 13th president of Loyola Marymount University from 1991 to 1999. During his presidency, Father O'Malley initiated the construction of the Leavey campus residence halls, advocated for the purchase of University Hall, and oversaw the construction of the Burns Recreation Center and the Hilton Center for Business. Reverend Thomas J. Maloney, S.J., began teaching Political Science at Loyola Marymount University in 1974. Father Maloney served as Assistant Dean of the College of Liberal Arts from 1981 to 84, and as Chair of the Political Science department from 1989 to 93. He was also active in campus ministry, especially with the Spanish-speaking students. He took part in the Special Games for disabled children, held annually on campus. Dr. Fred Kiesner has been affiliated with the College of Business Administration since 1974, and he has served as the Conrad N. Hilton Chair of Entrepreneurship at Loyola Marymount University.
