- A thankgka (banner) depicting the white Tara, representing compassion and wisdom. Tara is seated on a throne of blooming lotuses and surrounded by bodhisattvas. In the bottom center of the panel is the image of Palden Lhamo, the wrathful defender of wisdom and justice and protectoress of Tibet.

- Note
- Thangka banners were hung in monasteries, family altars, and used in ceremonial processions. Their images of deities and various religious scenes were a means to teach others about the life and ways of the Buddha. This artifact was exhbited at El Camino College in Torrance, California in 2009.
