Description
In 2016, a family friend of John August Swanson, Sister Therese N. Grenier, passed away, and the Swanson Studio worked on printed materials for her funeral mass. Sister Grenier's close friend, Sister Carmela Lacayo, asked for an artwork to go with the Robert Kennedy quote: "Each act of justice sends a ripple of hope". In response, Swanson worked on many of his small sketches involving water. This small work is based on a border detail from the 2009 serigraph, The Last Supper. It was not chosen to be used for Sister Grenier's service, but it was later used in Swanson's 2016 poster, Safe Drinking Water.
