- Description
- A bronze sinhamū, a stupa or mound-shaped vessel used to hold sindūra, a red vermilion powder representing good fortune in Tibetan Buddhism. Sindūra is applied to the forehead, first by a woman's husband on the day of her marriage and then by a married woman in the part of her hair or on her forehead. The sinhamū is tan-colored.
