Rina Restaino reminiscence - October 20, 2022

All right. Let's go. My name is Rena Tristano. I was at Loyola Law School from 2009 to graduate

in 2012. For a day student if I identify myself, I guess, says white little Middle Eastern, female, bisexual, Catholic. I don't feel like I normally say those things in

a sentence, but I guess if somebody was asking me, that's how I would identify myself. Let's see. She's on the phone.

Being a real law school for me was a game changer when it comes to relationships, connecting with people, figuring out who I was. I still have those same friends to this day.

And and that will always be a special area in my life. I think my most memorable experience up at Loyola was just all of the events.

I met so many people who had so many amazing experiences with the kind of work hard play hard attitude that was without without going to the events and meeting people and hearing people's stories.

I don't think it would have been the same experience. Well, I really enjoyed my time. Well. So many stories.

Yeah, I just. What sort? Like you. Like a real specific story.

Yeah, This is going in archived archives. You know, you are here. You know, I mean, this isn't it's not monumental or might not sound monumental, but for for me and a

friend of mine who I'm still close with ten years later, we called our friend a bursary that was going to the pill auction. And and we were sat at a table.

It was just us two. We don't really know each other, but we're in the same class. And we just sat there an awkward silence.

And then all of a sudden he started telling me about his favorite cocktail that he makes. And and it was so awkward, but we were just like, push through.

No one else was sitting at our table yet, and it was just this really awkward moment that were like, That was the moment we became friends. And so that to me is really special.
