- A portable shrine containing a wooden statue of Myōken Bosatsu (Sudṛṣṭi) wearing armor in the style of a samurai warrior. The figure's hands are crossed in front of its body and it stands atop a turtle. The cylindrical case is openwork ivory carved with a repeating swastika and floral pattern on the exterior, a symbol of welllbeing and prosperity in the Vedas.

- The bodhisattva Myōken is considered an incarnation of the North Star, the guardian of horses, and known for compassionate guidance. Myōken is also worshipped as the god of healing for eye diseases. Fractures in the statue have been professionally repaired.
