- Margaretha Sugg Dockweiler (1827-1924) and Henry Dockweiler (1824-1887) had four sons, three of whom survived infancy, including John Henry (1864-1941), Joseph Aloysius (d. 1918), and Isidore Bernard Dockweiler (1867-1947). John Henry and his brother Isidore B. Dockweiler were influential in Los Angeles history from the development of urban infrastructure to politics.
