- Note
- Areas of Rancho San Antonio represented in the map correlate with the present-day cities of Vernon, Maywood, and Bell in Los Angeles County. E. T. (Edward Thomas) Wright was county surveyor three times in Los Angeles County, his first term beginning in 1884 and his last ending in 1898. He also served as county surveyor for San Bernadino County. Partnering with W. B. Nicholson, he formed Wright and Nicholson to survey areas of Los Angeles and San Bernadino counties. As the maps in this collection attest, Wright was instrumental in the development of many parts of Los Angeles.
