- Description
- A bronze reliquary in the form of Mañjuśrī riding a lion. Mañjuśrī is the bodhisattva of wisdom, often depicted riding a lion. The lotus flowers around the lion's claws represent the sharp and compassionate wisdom of enlightenment. Mañjuśrī holds a scroll in his right hand, symbolizing the power of the scriptural word. The golden hue of his body radiates light and the mandorla of flames create the bodhisattva's sacred aura.
