- Victory Service Club operated under the auspices of the Union Rescue Mission (URM). It offered a place of social gathering for young men and women in military service during World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. The President of Union Oil Company Lyman Stewart founded the URM in 1891. According to an article from the Highland Park Post published in 1942, men and women in service were provided with free meals in the Victory Service Club located at 220 South Main Street, Los Angeles California.
