- Description
- John August Swanson used his artwork, Crucifixion III, on posters to fight to end the death penalty in 2012 and 2016. These posters were seen by Catholic Mobilizing Network, who would then use the images for posters against the Death Penalty across the United States. Legislative Bill 268 eliminated the Death Penalty in the state of Nebraska. Catholic Mobilizing Network fought to retain the bill in 2016, but it was repealed.
