- A single strand of muslim prayer beads. The strand is composed of three groups of 33 round wooden beads. Each group is separated by an imām (larger marker bead) and a short handle connecting the ends of the strand. Artifacts like this might also be called subḥa, tusbaḥ, tasbīḥ, tespih or misbaḥa depending on the region.
