- After seeing John August Swanson's artwork at the Bazaar del Mundo Gallery in Old Town San Diego, the Swanson Studio was contacted by the Catholic Archdiocese of San Diego to create a card using Flight Into Egypt for their ""Embracing the Joy of Love"" Synod. The project was to originally adapt the artwork for only a 5"" x 7"". However, after the card was completed, the studio was requested by the Bishop's office to create a poster, and booklet cover for the event.
