Description
John August Swanson used his artwork, Crucifixion III, on posters to fight to end the death penalty. These posters were seen by Catholic Mobilizing Network, who would then use the images for posters against the Death Penalty across the United States. This 2014 poster was adapted from Swanson's 2012 poster for Proposition 34, but the proposition text was removed from the poster after voting ended. This poster was also given to Sister Helen Prejean, CSJ of Catholic Mobilizing Network.
