- Mary Gertrude Dockweiler (1894-1988) was the daughter of Isidore B. Dockweiler and Gertrude Reeve Dockweiler. She was a prominent Los Angeles socialite, also very active in such charitable causes as the Los Angeles Orphanage Guild. Mary Dockweiler married twice, first to lawyer William Kenyon Young (1900-1962), son of a major California Democrat Milton K. Young, and after William Young's death, she married Dr. Daniel Sooy in 1965. Henry Isidore Dockweiler (1893-1970) was the son of Isidore B. Dockweiler and Gertrude Reeve Dockweiler. He began his career as a secretary in the U.S. Diplomatic Service in 1918. He has served at the embassies in Beijing, Tokyo, Santo Domingo, and Madrid, among others. After leaving diplomatic service in 1926, Henry Dockweiler joined the family law firm and became a well-known Los Angeles lawyer. Like his sister Mary, he cherished philanthropic causes, serving on the boards of St. John of God Hospital, Mount St. Mary's College, and the Los Angeles Orphanage.
