Roman numerals indicate the chapters, while small marks in the left margin sub-divide the text. Alternating chapter initials of red and blue inks with marginal flourishes. This leaf is from the Old Testament, which was often studied as a prefiguration of the New Testament." The leaf possibly originated in Bologna.
