- Note
- The Los Angeles Trust and Savings Bank moved to its new location between Spring and Sixth streets in 1911. The building in French Renaissance style with Corinthian columns was designed by John Parkinson and G. Edwin Bergstrom. It was an eleven-story steel frame structure built with ornamental bricks and terra cotta. The building was well known for its unique circular door to the vault, which was regarded as the thickest, largest, and strongest in the world at the time. In case of a lockout, bank employees could access the vault through an emergency hole. In 1922, the bank changed its name to Pacific Southwest Trust and Savings Bank.
