- Sister Raymunde McKay, R.S.H.M. was President of Marymount College during the affiliation and merger years with Loyola University of Los Angeles from 1964-1973. Sam Yorty served as Mayor of Los Angeles during 1961-1973, after serving on the California State Assembly and representing California's 14th congressional district in the United States House of Representatives in the 1940s and 1950s.
