Description
Completed Sister Water prayer card for Sister Therese N Grenier's Funeral Mass, on May 2, 2016. In 2016, a family friend of John August Swanson, Sister Therese N. Grenier, passed away. The Swanson Studio created printed materials for her funeral mass. Sister Grenier's close friend, Sister Carmela Lacayo, requested an artwork to accompany the Robert Kennedy quote: "Each act of justice sends a ripple of hope". Sister Carmela Lacayo selected Swanson's Sister Water from the 2014 Canticle poster. The artwork was too tall for the proposed card, so it was digitally adapted by the studio. The card was well received at the mass, and Swanson decided to create a 19" x 13" poster of Sister Water.
