- A drawing from John August Swanson's sketchbook of John 4:1-29. This sketch was done while Swanson was listening to the gospel. It was not originally created to be used for a final painting, but he went back to it to create his Gift Triptych. The Gift Triptych contains: Gift of Water (4:1-29), Gift of Sight (John 9:1-38), and Gift of Life (John 11:1-44).
