Hello, my name is Pam and I was a student at Loyola Marymount. Um I graduated in 1984 and spent four wonderful years at LMU. I was, I originally I am from India. I graduated um in India and came to LMU and did two more years because

they did not accept my degree. So I ended up getting a bachelors in english lead and a credential in education. Um I am a catholic and enjoyed my years at LMU. One of the highlights of going to a catholic university is that they have a lot

of spiritual programs and a church which I frequented um while I was here and I was also club president. I worked in the english department for about two years, made many friends and enjoyed a pleasant relationship with the faculty and um who were also many of

whom were my professors. I um as club president I was nominated, my club was nominated for an award of course we didn't win it but it was quite an achievement for me given the fact that I was an immigrant student who had to learn the american

way and Loyola provided that opportunity for me, gave me leadership skills, opportunities for leadership skills and um just was a pleasant experience for me. Um I live uh I was the president of the sociology society. I remember dr marple was my mentor or I don't know

what you call a coordinator, supervisor of the club. We had fun, we did a lot of social service activities um and it was a very enlightening and uh experience for me especially since it involves social service. Um let's see, what else do you need to know?

I lived on campus. Yes, I lived at the apartments in play Del Rey, what were they called? Was in Barcelona I think it was called Barcelona but I lived in the campus housing off campus housing in Del Rey. I um let's see. Time for me was

as a student, my story is very resistant. I enjoyed the retreats um the campus ministry used to have retreats and it was a very um enlightening spiritual experience for me to attend those retreats. I I think that is something that catholic universities offer that you don't

get a non catholic or public universities, it allowed me to give off myself while at the same time receiving from others guidance and inspiration. So all in all I would say my experience at LMU was one of the best experiences in my life and I would

encourage anyone who wants to join this university, they can afford it, it's pretty pricey, but I highly recommend Loyola as a university of choice. It was for me and I am a firm believer in just with education and catholic education in general and I definitely highly

recommended to anyone who's interested. Um my years, you have a fun. Um and as an alumni, I'm very happy to be back and to volunteer for a short time. Um you know, to rekindle the experiences I had at LMU. Thank you for listening.
