Description	Elaborately decorated Chinese lion; the legs and feet of its two hidden dancers can be seen. West Gate in background with shops, restaurants, benches, and phone booth on Gin Ling Way.
Historical Background	The traditional Lion Dance, an important aspect of Chinese New Year celebration, is believed to scare away evil spirits and bring good luck. Two dancers - one as the head, the other as the body - perform dances that tell stories from Chinese folklore and mythology, to musical accompaniment by drum, cymbals and gong.
Additional Printed Matter	On back:"Beautiful and colorful lion used to bring good fortune. Lions like the one shown dance through the streets of Chinatown during the Chinese New Year celebration and other festive occasions."
