Historical Background	The Sing Fat company, selling oriental art, antiques, and housewares, originated in San Francisco's Chinatown shortly after the 1910 earthquake, but also had locations in Los Angeles, Chicago, and other major cities throughout the United States. The premises of the Los Angeles store were so extensive that they had entrances on both Broadway and Hill Streets.
