Very dear friend:
Anything you do will, I think, always meet with your Bishop's approval. I was pleased to see your devoted mother yesterday and I am glad she is bearing up under her great sorrow. I know of not greater sorrow than the loss of a life partner -- the loss of one with whom we went down through the years hand in hand. However, God never sends us a cross without sending us very much grace and in a special way does He give His benediction to widows.
Believe me
Yours devotedly in Christ,
