Historical Background	Honorable Irma J. Brown Dillon, J.D., graduated from Marymount College in affiliation with Loyola University of Los Angeles in 1970. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in 1973. Dillon has been a judge of the Superior Court of California in Inglewood. She has also been an Loyola Marymount University trustee, and a founding board member of the African American Alumni Association. Irma Brown Dillon Community Service Award honors leaders who exemplify LMU�s mission and tradition of serving others.
