Historical Background	Reverend Robert Shepherd, S.J., held the position of Athletic Moderator at Loyola High School in 1929. In 1933 he became Athletic Moderator at Loyola University of Los Angeles. He left the University in 1934, but returned in 1936, and he was again Athletic Moderator from 1938 to 1943.
