Historical Background	Father Donald P. Merrifield, S.J. served as the president of Loyola University, and later, Loyola Marymount University, from 1969-1984. Sister Raymunde McKay, R.S.H.M. was President of Marymount College during the affiliation and merger years with Loyola University of Los Angeles from 1964-1973.
