Historical Background
The
Crimson
Circle
was
founded
in
1929
to
assist
the
Jesuit
Dean
of
Students
enforce
the
Student
Code
of
Conduct
at
student
assemblies
and
events
.
Over
time
the
nature
of the
group
changed
and
it
steadily
evolved
into an
Honor
Society
dedicated
to
service
to
Loyola
Marymount
University
and the
surrounding
Los
Angeles
community
. In
2010
, the
Crimson
Circle
committed
to
tutoring
and
mentoring
students
at
local
grammar
and
high
schools
as
well
as
helping
prepare
grammar
school
students
for the
Catholic
high
school
entrance
exams
.
