Description	Mother Stanislaus, R.S.H.M. is shown a 15-pound octopus by Marineland Aquarium's Curator of Fishes John Prescott.
Historical Background	Mother Stanislaus was the chair of Biology at Marymount College in Palos Verdes. Both faculty and students frequently visited Marineland of the Pacific to see marine exhibits and displays. Marineland of the Pacific was in operation from 1954 to 1987, and was located on 90 acres along the beach in Rancho Palos Verdes, California. At the time, it was the largest oceanarium in the world.
